You’ll find links to Patreon on our website, and you’ll find this FAQ page, but all of the records of your membership in the Patreon community are kept on their platform, at patreon.com. Keeping your pledge information on the separate Patreon website protects your payment data, provides a more interactive community setting, and, for us, simplifies management of our supporter base.

How do I pledge or make a payment through Patreon?

Go to patreon.com/bibleandbeyond. Click on “Membership options.” When you click on “join,” it will guide you through the sign-up process, including how to make a monthly (or annual) payment and how to post your address to receive Bible and Beyond merch.

How do I post a public comment on a Patreon post that I receive in my email inbox, like “The Greatest Thing I Learned this Week”?

If you are reading a Patreon post inside your email, replying to the email with a comment will go to Shirley but won’t be seen by anyone else in the Patreon community. To join the online discussion, just jump over to the actual post on the Patreon website. Here’s how:

Click the post title (or the “View on Patreon” button) at the top or bottom of the email.

If prompted, log into your account.

Scroll to the very bottom of the post, type your message into the comment box, and click Post (or press Enter).

Tip for easier commenting: Download the official Patreon Mobile app. Then you can just tap any new email notification, and you will instantly unlock the post inside the app, where you can leave a comment.

What if I can’t remember my Patreon password?

There has to be a password for your Patreon account because your financial and personal information is stored in the account. To recover your password:

• Make sure you are completely logged out by going directly to the Patreon Logout Page (patreon.com). Your browser might be remembering a broken login session, and the reset might not work.
• Go directly to the Patreon Password Recovery Page.
• Enter the email address associated with your account and click Continue.
• Check your inbox for an email from password@patreon.com and follow the link to type in a new password.

How do I update my credit card that I used to set up my pledge of support on Patreon?

• Log in to your Patreon account on their website using a desktop or mobile browser.
• Click Settings in the left sidebar menu.
• Click More in the top menubar, then select Payment Methods.
• Click Edit next to your card to update your expiration date or zip code, or click Add payment method to enter a brand new card.

How do I change the pledge amount or tier level?

• Log in to your account on Patreon.com (your Patreon account is not on earlychristiantexts.com).
• Hover over the Pencil Icon on the left menu bar and click Manage (or navigate directly to the Bible and Beyond page).
• Find Bible and Beyond from your list (in case you pledge to other Patreon creators) and click Update or Edit Membership.
• Choose a different tier, or select Choose What You Pay to manually type in a custom amount, then click update.

How can I update my shipping address?

• Log in to your account on the Patreon.com website.
• Click Settings (or Account) in the left navigation sidebar.
• Scroll to the Shipping address section and click Edit.
• Update your details, select Bible and Beyond for sharing the new address, and click Save.

How do I cancel my Bible and Beyond Patreon pledge (membership)?

• Hover over the Pencil Icon on the left menu bar and click Manage (or navigate directly to the Bible and Beyond page).
